Our fourth transnational partners meeting took place in Burgos, Spain. Our hosts were Marta and Moises from Autismo Burgos, Federacion Autismo Castilla y Leon, Spain. The Autismo Burgos was founded in 1984 by a group of parents. The Autismo Burgos provides specific and specialized support throughout life for people with autism and their families. They favour their social inclusion and personal development. They generate and share knowledge. They promote positive social attitudes. They improve the quality of life for people with autism and their families.
Autismo Burgos currently serves 390 people with Autism through its different services: Early Care, School, Day Center and Care Service for people with High Functioning Autism. In addition to those listed above, it has other services such as housing, leisure, sports and free time services; and the Diagnostic Assessment and Guidance Service.

Marta and Moises from Autismo Burgos organized visits to several services that work as part of their association. Both Marta and Moises work at the primary school called El Alba.
The school is part of the Autismo Burgos. The school is located on the second floor, while the regular kindergarten is on the first floor. We also visited a regular school called Virgen de la Rosa. There, we visited a classroom that is also part of El Alba. The classroom houses five students with autism, who receive partial inclusion education. They share part of their classes with the children from the regular school, accompanied by a special education teacher. There we also visited their sensorial room. In the Autismo Burgos sensorial therapist Ana Gentil guided us through the sensorial materials and therapy they offer at Autismo Burgos.
